To celebrate the launch of the $5 Fiesta California Tortilla will be hosting two spunky contests.

First, any Burrito Elito Club member who purchases the $5 Fiesta by Sunday, January 17, 2010, will be entered into a delicious drawing. One lucky entrant from each restaurant will win a FREE burrito catering party for up to 20 people, perfect for entertaining during a big football game. So make sure you have your Burrito Elito Card and that you try the $5 Fiesta ASAP.

Secondly, California Tortilla wants to know what you would do with $5. Customers can submit their answers in a 60-second video uploaded to YouTube or a 100-word essay. Links and entries must be submitted to spunky@californiatortilla.com by January 31st. Each day in January, California Tortilla will award a burrito elito card loaded with free burritos for a year to our favorite submission.

Catering Promotion

1. To be eligible, you must be a Registered Burrito Elito Club member. Click here for more information on the Burrito Elito program.

2. Each participating store (Click here for participating stores) will give away one (1) free California Tortilla Burrito catering package, with food for up to twenty (20) people.

3. Burrito Party includes:

• A delicious, overstuffed burrito for each person
• A tossed CT salad with greens, tomatoes, shredded cheese, corn, tortilla strips and our homemade Honey Lime dressing.
• Fresh Salsa and Chips

4. Does not include delivery

5. Estimated Prize Value – $200 per prize

6. You must purchase one (1) $5 Fiesta Combo during the open timeframe (Jan. 1, 2010 – Jan 17, 2010) to be entered into the drawings.

7. No purchase necessary:

• You may mail in one entry per day to Contest – California Tortilla 20 Courthouse Sq #206, Rockville, MD 20850
• One winner will be picked from all mailed in entries
• Please include name, phone number and e-mail address.

8. The drawings will be held on or about Jan. 20, 2010.

9. Winners will be notified via the e-mail address they used when they registered their Burrito Elito card.

10. California Tortilla is not responsible for bounced e-mails that result in prize notification failure.

11. Odds of winning will be determined by number of entries.

YouTube/Essay Contest

1. No purchase necessary.

2. Contestants may submit entries describing what they would do with $5 by either:

• Creating an original video of no more than 60 seconds and uploading it to your account on youtube. The video title must include “California Tortilla” in it and the link must be e-mailed to spunky@californiatortilla.com.
• Writing an essay of no more than 100 words and e-mailing it to spunky@californiatortilla.com.

3. California Tortilla retains the rights to use the videos and essays in marketing, advertising and promotional materials, including in-store and mass-media outlets.

4. One winner will be selected each day in January, 2010, from the combined essay and YouTube entries.

5. One prize will be given away each day for the entire chain, not individual restaurant locations.

6. Prize includes:

• One Burrito Elito Card loaded with 1 Free Burrito per week for 52 weeks.
• If Burrito is not used during a specific week it does not accrue.

7. Estimated prize value – $327 per Burrito Elito Card

8. Entries will be judged on originality and creativity.

9. All judges decisions are final – no whining please.

10. Entries must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

11. Odds of winning will be determined by number of entries.
