That’s right—if you wear your “I VOTED” sticker, say that you voted or scream “I love election day” and we’ll give you a FREE taco Tuesday, November 2nd. And not only will you get a free taco, you’ll also get to feel superior.

That’s right—on Wednesday, November 17th, California Tortilla will give you a free 4 oz. sample of the darn tastiest Turkey Chili you’ve ever had AND when you make a purchase, receive a coupon for a free 8oz. chili on your next visit. Woo-hoo! And if this is anything like our chili promotions in the past, 8 bazillion people will say it’s so delicious we should put it on our menu. It’s been on our menu for 15 years. (Note to self: Get better chili signs.)

See you on the 17th…

1-855-CALTORT. 1-855-CALTORT. That’s our new catering number and a darn spunky Cal Tort catering specialist is standing by waiting to take your catering call as we speak. If you haven’t catered with us, you’re in for a treat—it’s inexpensive, it’s delicious, it’s plentiful and it’s EASY. Really easy.

So make your life a little less complicated this holiday season and have Cal Tort cater this year’s party. GO! (I like to create a sense of panic as much as possible.)

Because here at California Tortilla we realize just how darn lucky we are, we’d like to share with you a few of the things that we feel so very thankful for this holiday season:

•  We’re thankful for the helpful people on the email list. When I wrote a couple  of months ago that moments after I got out of my car a tree fell on it and totaled it, several people suggested (within minutes, I might add) that if I did die, Cal Tort should serve a squash burrito in my honor. These people were surprisingly upbeat about my imminent demise.

•  We’re thankful that we no longer have to call people who we haven’t seen in a few days and ask them where they’ve been. I have no idea how we got their numbers, but I’m guessing they weren’t coming in because we were stalking them.

•  We’re thankful that our bank no longer thinks our name is California Turkey. Seriously. For the first 6 months we were open our bank thought our name was California Turkey—which would explain why they were surprised we were closed on Thanksgiving.

•  We’re thankful that we were voted “Best Burrito” once again by Washingtonian Magazine. (Do you like how my list about being “so very thankful” also manages to work in how wonderful we are?)

Seriously, we really do feel incredibly lucky and we owe it all to you. So thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. Even the squash burrito people. (Especially the squash burrito people. Your emails really made me laugh. And as we know, it’s all about me.)

On that note, have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
